Equipment moves by breakbulk vessel from the Port of Houston. Zimmer coordinates delivery to the terminal and prepare all relevant paperwork for shipment.

Zimmer routinely ships leisure boats and trailers from the USA to other countries.

Leisure boats, for use on protected water such as lakes and bays, typically ship to destinations on RO-RO vessels.
There is a growing demand for the transport of upscale, high-performance open water craft like cigarette boats.

Automobiles

Increased demand for overseas transportation of privately-
owned automobiles is a growing area of business for Zimmer.

Showroom-quality classic cars as well as late-model Jaguars and Lexuses are gently loaded into containers under Zimmer's close supervision, secured and moved to ports of exit bound for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

Ship spares

Zimmer is successfully developing a growing customer base in clearing in-bound ship spares on behalf of ships’ agents. This involves filing papers with US Customs and distributing the cleared spares to the vessel before it leaves port. This is an extremely time-sensitive operation, and it is common for spares to arrive at the airport from overseas for a vessel leaving port within 24 hours.

Steel

Zimmer is heavily involved in the transportation of rail and associated rail products. Steel railroad ties, which compete worldwide with wooden and concrete sleepers, have been moved in LASH barges and in containers.

Zimmer Worldwide Logistics is proud to be associated with Water Missions Incorporated to bring clean, potable water
to under-developed and disaster-stricken areas. Funding for
these shipments is accomplished through relief organizations
like Samaritan’s Purse and charitable entities like Rotary Clubs International.
